The Southern Series

Competitor eligibilty criteria

All entrants into The Southern Series (TSS) events are automatically included in the Series rankings. There are no costs or registration requirements for competitors. TSS organisers will make every effort to assist event organisers and media to liaise with competitors and potential sponsors.

Rankings explained

The Southern Series rankings are awarded on a points-per-competition basis. Each TSS-affiliated event is worth 100 points regardless of prizemoney. The winner of a participating event is awarded 25 points, second place 15, third place 12 and so on. For example a six-stand* competition would break down as follows:

1st place            25 points

2nd place           15 points

3rd  place          12 points

4th place           10 points

5th place           8 points

6th place           6 points

Losing semi-finalists** (6 competitors)            2 points

Losing quarterfinalists** (12 competitors)       1 point

* Four-stand or other events would have ranking points assigned in an equivalent fashion.

** In the case of an event with three semi-finals then the 12 non-qualifiers get two points each and there are no points for quarterfinals.

Leading competitors in the rankings will be eligible for (to-be-announced) bonuses at the end of the Series.
