Television and digital exposure

The potential audience for competitive shearing is immense. Each Southern Series event will be live-streamed to digital channels and be part of a series of television magazine-style shows dedicated to the sport, the athletes and their back-stories, the event locales and the story of wool from ‘paddock to product’.

Television programming reaches a huge potential audience, while online exposure will reflect the burgeoning audience which views content on digital platforms. Both the live content and magazine shows are ideal vehicles for sponsors and can be tailored for specific local markets. As well, documentary filming will create an ongoing stream of publicity material for event organisers and partners.

Television broadcasters worldwide are constantly seeking new material to fill their schedules. Content distributors on a variety of digital platforms are doing the same. By working with production and distribution companies, competitive shearing can reach a guaranteed global audience through the long-standing relationships distribution companies have with broadcasters worldwide about a multitude of sports. Competitive shearing fits neatly into the growing niche-sport category broadcasters are increasingly catering for.
