Campaign for Wool general manager Tom O’Sullivan has highlighted many of the problems facing strong wool in an extended interview with Stuff’s Gerhard Uys.
In the Stuff story O’Sullivan calls for more industry co-operation with the article saying: “…recently there had been more consumer awareness of wool, which was driven by the the damage plastics caused to the environment”. And, “young consumers wanted non-plastic options, and wanted to know what their products were made of “.
The Campaign for Wool has long been at the forefront of the fight for the “fibre of the future” with the New Zealand branch a wonderful resource for all things wool. It’s well worth a look at their site.
